well, you know, there are times when you actually have to focus on other things than writing. but eventually you come back to it, and that is what matters.

says he, daruman, whoes focus during the last four weeks was set on studying hard for exams and then partying hard to catch up on all vices he had to do without while studying. in fact, it has been a quite fulfilling end of semester. hard work and good friends.

now, as thoes friends depart from vienna to their homes like guests who leave after the fiest at the manor-house, daruman stays and makes himself comfortable with the leftovers. vienna is not only a place of study and fiests to daruman, but it is becoming his home. because the center from where he sets out to all his activities is now based here in leopoldstadt. is that what makes our homes, our worldly posessions, our appartments? or is it rather the people we love and feel connected to? ah, it is both, of course. for the one or the other, home is not always a place daruman wants to be.
